Privacy Policy

When you request a demo, we collect what you type into the form: your name, work email, firm or organisation, and, if you choose to give them, your role, the number of lawyers at your firm, your city, your phone number and a message. We also record whether you ticked the box to receive marketing from us, the time you sent the form and the page you sent it from.

When you browse, we collect nothing ourselves. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Like any website, our hosting provider's (Vercel's) servers may keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and keep them secure.

We use demo request details to:

• contact you about the demo you asked for and arrange it;
• understand your practice, so the demo is relevant to your work;
• send you marketing about Lawyer and Node Media, such as product news, offers and invitations, by email, phone or messaging, but only if you ticked the box for it.

We process your details on the basis of your consent. Submitting the form is consent to be contacted about the demo. Marketing needs a separate consent: the box on the form, which is unticked unless you tick it. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time by writing to hello@nodemedia.in or using the opt-out in any message we send, without affecting your demo. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to train AI models.

We use these service providers, which handle your details only on our behalf:

• Vercel, which hosts this website and carries the form to the two services below;
• Google (Google Sheets), where requests are kept as a list for our team;
• Telegram, which notifies our team that a request has arrived.

These providers may store data outside India, including in the United States. We share nothing else, except where the law requires us to. The Lawyer platform itself runs on Cloudflare; how it handles a firm's documents is covered by that firm's agreement with us, not this policy.

We keep demo request details for as long as we are in touch with you about Lawyer, and delete them within 24 months of our last contact, or sooner if you ask us to. If you withdraw marketing consent, we stop sending marketing straight away and keep only what we need to arrange your demo.

Under the DPDP Act you may:

• ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• ask us to correct, complete or update it;
• withdraw your consent, and ask us to erase your data;
• nominate someone to exercise these rights for you;
• raise a grievance with us, and then with the Data Protection Board of India if it is not resolved.

The form is sent over an encrypted connection, and access to the places we keep requests is limited to our team. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
